before / after
Yeah, this coffee-lover is over the moon. I didn’t realize how dull my smile was, but now it’s safe to say I’m hooked. I loved the teeth whitening process so much, I have my eye on a kit for someone on my Christmas list! What better gift than the gift of a white smile? Read about my experience below, then enter to win your very own FREE Smile Brilliant teeth whitening kit – a $149 value!
How easy was the teeth whitening process?
In your Smile Brilliant kit, you’ll receive everything you need to make impressions of your teeth so that teeth whitening trays can be made just for you. The instructions were easy to follow, the process of making the impressions was easy and then you just drop them in the mail and wait for your custom trays to arrive. Once you get them, you already have everything you need in your kit to get started.
The wait of getting your trays back in the mail is minimal and SO worth it! I’ve used drug store whitening strips in the past and they just don’t work for me. The slick material combined with my drool (anyone notice those things make your mouth so watery?!) would lead to a shortened whitening session because I just couldn’t stand them slipping around in my mouth. With custom trays, you simply apply the whitening gel to the trays, pop them in your mouth and go about your day. You don’t have to worry about anything slipping off or desperately try not to talk in fear of them coming off.
Plus, I really feel like the trays got all the nooks and crannies whitened because they fit my teeth like a glove. I had braces, but if straightness is a concern for you, Smile Brilliant’s trays will ensure that every tooth’s surface comes in contact with the whitening gel for a consistent experience.
How long did it take for me to achieve my results?
I started small, whitening for about 45 minutes every couple of days. Then, I did a good four-day stretch whitening for an hour. To finish it off, I whitened every other day for an hour until I was happy with the whiteness. It took me less than 10 sessions to get my results and I couldn’t be more pleased!
What’s even better is that the kit got me through my round of teeth whitening and will last me into maintenance. So, I still have product left that I can use to touch up my smile as needed!
Did it make my teeth sensitive?
I have pretty sensitive teeth, so I regularly brush with a sensitive tooth paste and a soft bristle tooth brush. I also have some receding gums from brushing too hard on one side. I was excited to hear that Smile Brilliant has a solution for those with sensitive teeth, then pleasantly surprised when I didn’t need to even use the sensitivity treatment until the end of my sessions (when I upped the amount of time I was whitening + whitened a few days in a row).
The team at Smile Brilliant also took great care of me and offered some tips to prevent sensitivity that really helped! One of them was rubbing coconut oil on my gums before I whitened as a barrier. My tip: apply a little to your lips as well as I found mine dried out a little bit while I was whitening.
