If you have browsed our wedding PR client press coverage, you have likely heard of The White List. It’s how we lovingly refer to our lifestyle PR and wedding PR clients and creatives we work with. And, it has also become a collaborative community of wedding vendor friends! So, in an effort to learn and grow from each other, I’m so excited to share the below client love with you from a wedding PR client!
We’re kicking this week off with our sweet friends at Confection Perfection! Confection Perfection was founded 16+ years ago by Jennifer Punch. Jennifer has a background in chemistry. She has taken that knowledge, combined with her creativity, to produce cakes that are both gorgeous and delicious. And, I have to add that I’m so proud of this stunning wedding cake these ladies designed, below. It was for the styled shoot we recently produced that was featured on Wedding Chicks.

Client Love | Confection Perfection
What is it that makes you love what you do?
Confection Perfection prides itself on producing a freshly-baked product based on each custom order. Our line of cakes are all custom designed by Jennifer and her team. Confection Perfection’s goal is to create that one-of-a-kind cake based on the vision and personality of our client!
One of the moments you’re most proud of:
One of our cakes was featured on Live with Kelly & Michael. And, our one-of-a-kind cake won on the premiere episode of Cake Hunters. Hence, these were very special opportunities for our designers to showcase their talents to a broader audience.
Describe your dream client + how you’d help them solve their painponts:
We take special care to meet with all of our brides in a one-on-one comfortable, private meeting, offering both design consultation and a tasting. All brides bring fresh ideas to the table. And, we love getting to exercise our creativity with innovative cakes.
When you’re not working, what do you love to do?
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have been blessed with three amazing sons. And, we love supporting them in their different activities and ventures. I love being involved with my church! I lead a small group with the youth ministry. Also, travel is a wonderful way for my family to stay connected. And, I really enjoy getting to adventure with them, whether that be on a vacation to Disney World or a trip to Louisiana to visit family.

Best piece of advice for a new business owner in the wedding/creative industry:
Be willing to take risks and try new things. Keep up with current trends and stay knowledgeable about new techniques to keep yourself competitive. Always keep the client in mind with each decision you make. It is an honor to have your craftsmanship as the centerpiece for someone’s special occasion. And, it garners a certain amount of trust. We, as artists and bakers, need to maintain that trusting relationship so the end product is something that both we and the client can be proud of.
Industry veterans can benefit from tips as well! What advice do you have for more established professionals as it relates to your expertise?
Maintaining a good working relationship with other professionals is crucial. Therefore, networking is an invaluable tool to reach a broader clientele base. And, taking the opportunities before you to showcase your work is pivotal in establishing these relationships. Maintaining consistent quality will maintain relationships and make clients more likely to return and recommend your services in the future. Therefore, this is why we treat every order as if it is a client’s first time with us. And, for each true first-time client, we make sure the experience is as pleasant and the product as fabulous as they had been told when they were referred to us.
Common mistakes you’re seeing businesses make + how to avoid them:
We believe in every cake being unique. Even if a client brings in a photo for reference, we love to work with them to personalize the cake to make it as special as the occasion for which it is created. We have found this special touch and attention to detail goes a long way with clients, so they know that their cake is truly a “one-of-a-kind” creation. So, rather than having “cookie cutter” designs for clients to choose from, we encourage clients to make the confection their own.
