This is my view for the rest of the week and weekend! Beautiful isn’t it? The Barn at Tatum Acres is a North Georgia wedding venue situated on 75 acres overlooking the North Georgia mountains. The rustic chic barn includes a fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor smoker, fire pit, outdoor fire place, multiple restrooms and space for the bridal party to get wedding ready. We love that owner and interior designer, Lynda Tatum, thoughtfully dreamt up the barn. And that it was constructed using trees from the farm. This North Georgia wedding venue is a perfect blend of modern and rustic!
Touring North Georgia Wedding Venue, Tatum Acres
We’re going behind the scenes of Ashley + Brian’s North Georgia wedding, filled with lots of fall wedding details. Plus, the cutest DIY! These newlyweds chose The Barn at Tatum Acres as their wedding venue based on the breathtaking view of the North Georgia Mountains. From there, they dreamt up an overall wedding vision. Country Chic! Ashley loved the rustic décor and setting Tatum Acres already offered. But, also wanted to incorporate feminine touches and fall details that would compliment the venue. “I wanted to include white pumpkins throughout the ceremony and reception as an elegant touch of fall so… I grew 200+ white pumpkins for our décor! We used mini white pumpkins (even spray painted some gold) in tall vases as filler for our center pieces. We also had our ring bearers carry down mini pumpkins tied off with a faux ring and navy bow.”

All four sides of the building have a door that leads to other spaces. The main entrance door leads to a large area that is perfect for setting up tables, chairs and dance floor. This is also where the fire pit is. Perfect for a s’mores bar! One side entrance opens up to a covered porch with an outdoor fireplace and lounge seating area. The other is identical, but has a large stone smoker for cooking barbecue on the North Georgia wedding venue’s property. The final door leads into the stables!
Adjacent to Tatum Acres’ barn are the stables, with a sliding barn door and six windows that open to additional covered seating areas. Some couples use these additional seating areas to set up a buffet table and smaller food stations or bars. Others have arranged tables for their guests to eat with a canopy of string lights twinkling above. We also love this space as a dance floor, complete with a band or DJ. It also works well for a smaller wedding, or as a rain plan in the case of inclement weather.
